To answer this question, you must visit the Singapore History Gallery at the National Museum of Singapore. Consider the public safety and security situation that Singapore faced during two of the three periods of the country’s history:

– Period 1: Between 1819 to 1942 (British Colony)
– Period 2: Between 1942 to 1945 (Japanese Occupation)
– Period 3: From 1945 to 1970 (Post-World War 2)

(a) From the exhibits and write-ups at the museum, illustrate the public safety and security threats and challenges that Singapore and its residents faced in two of these time periods.
