Literature Dissertation Assignment

I will upload the first assignment the assignment speaks of after bid has been accepted.

Assignment:

Textbook Information: Roberts, C. M., & Hyatt, L. (2019).
The dissertation journey: A practical guide to planning, writing, and defending your dissertation (3rded.). Corwin Publishing Co. ISBN-
 9781506373331. Read Chapter 13.

This week’s assignment will require you to be confident in your understanding of each of the listed parts of a dissertation. Over the past several weeks, you have been introduced to each section (chapter) of a doctoral dissertation. You have reviewed the required pieces for each chapter and even looked at some already completed dissertations to examine each part and critique the effective ways that the research authors supported each chapter accurately.

During the first week in class, you used a structured critique using the AQuA form to look for specific parts of a dissertation. It is now time to revisit this same dissertation and review your initial paper and position using the AQuA form and the added information you have learned throughout the class.

Write an additional 1250- word reflection report that includes the following points of discovery and comparison. Do not forget to use proper APA format rules, including any possible citations to help define your areas of concern and comparisons.

1. Start by revising the critique of the same dissertation to explain what you understand about its assessment in terms of AQuA Likert scale responses. Use ‘track changes’ or a different font color to show your instructor what new content or reflections you have added to the original paper you wrote in the second week of this course.

2. Compare your current response to what you initially stated in that assignment back during module 1. Where has your understanding changed, and how will this new-found knowledge be helpful in the completion of your dissertation? Use ‘track changes’ or a different font color to show your instructor what new content or reflections you have added to the original paper you wrote in the second week of this course.

3. Select one other dissertation that you may have earlier during another week, or you can select a new one and find what you believe is the most vital part of the research as presented by that researcher. Explain your position using the criteria you have read about from the textbook for this class.
Provide a PDF copy of the chosen dissertation as part of your assignment submission so that your instructor can evaluate your claims.

Follow APA writing style guidelines for this assignment. Clearly use headings to mark the specific sections in your paper. The title page and reference pages do not count towards the minimum word count. Include at least three (3) credible citations for your ideas and reflections.

CITI Program Training: This course requires you to begin the CITI Program Training modules, which pertain to responsible and ethical research practices. The information in these modules will help you shape the research design for your dissertation. You are required to complete this training prior to your proposal defense, which takes place during the dissertation phase. Additional information regarding this requirement can be found in the Doctoral Lounge under the Institutional Review Board (IRB) section. You cannot submit your IRB application or be approved to start your research until you complete all the required CITI Training modules.
