RESPONSE1

Describe the necessary planning that must be made prior to the start of a group you would be interested in leading.

The first step I would have to do is identify the problem (McDuffie, et al., 2023) that I would like to focus the group on, which would be grief after loss after a disaster. Next, researching various people how they dealt with loss. Collecting data and analyzing their life experiences would help to create a group that is capable to function and help others find ways to grieve before reaching depression. Presenting the findings to my colleagues to get their input in case I missed something, to help make sure the group is successful
.

Explain how the preparations you made would positively affect the process of a group you might lea

This preparation process could help me lay the foundation to starting a group that is successful. Focusing on the root of the problem that members of the group will focus on to heal. The more that conduct research to collect data will help to figure out the best projects to incorporate in the group. Receiving input from my colleagues would also make the group to be successful for members completing the group.

RESPONSE2

Describe the necessary planning that must be made prior to the start of a group you would be interested in leading.

The planning process has two distinct parts. Forming and planning are two processes. Forming focus on the individual members or the group goals and expectations. The concern is the atmosphere of the group and the outcome of procedures. “The first is directed at forming the group, the aspect with which this chapter primarily concerns. The second part of planning includes the ongoing adjustments and forward-looking arrangements made by the leader and the members as the group progresses through its beginning, middle, and ending stages” (Toseland & Rivas, p. 160). Planning is assessing the group and seeing what needs to be added or removed. The main thing is the well-being of the member or group members.

Explain how the preparations you made would positively affect the process of a group you might lead.

Effectively utilizing forming and planning the group will help the overall cause of the group. The group will be able to get some direction for their problem. “Facilitators may be primarily concerned with helping a group effectively solve a single problem, or they may be trying to improve the group’s long-term effectiveness by helping them learn to diagnose and correct their behavior” (Lewis et al., 2002). The group hopefully will be able to utilize the resources and get some direction.
