Pick an individual (this can be a stranger or someone you know) and conduct an in-depth interview with this person on a specific topic of your choice. Please provide the specific questions you asked your participant as part of your write-up.
In the write up discuss how you developed rapport with the participant, what themes were brought up, any countertransference you experienced and your overall experience. Describe your experience of asking questions, what was it like when you had to probe further? Any problems or difficulties? What was it like to hear another person’s narrative? What themes came up? And how you would interpret this person’s story?
Remember to use thick descriiption and describe your interviewee, the room, the context, the behaviors of the interviewee, etc. This paper should be reflective of your experience with the in-depth interview process. This paper will be about 4-6 pages.
