view the attached photo below which was part of the promotional material distributed to oncologists from the drug company Norvartis advertising the cancer drug Afinitor and also review this abstract. Links  (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4812836/)
For the discussion:
Summarize the study. What are some of the conflicting results presented in this study and why is this a problem (HINT: look at the multiple times statistical significance is reported in the abstract (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4812836/)  and look at the clinical significance as reported in the marketing materials. Do you consider this ad deceptive? Why or why not? What other information do you think should be included in the conference abstract? Please note I understand we have not covered the Kaplan–Meier estimator but it is just one of the frequently used methods of survival analysis that is useful to examine recovery rates, the probability of death, and the effectiveness of treatment. You don’t need to have a complex understanding of it to answer these questions in the context of your materials. Survival statistics is a science unto itself!
